Explore Elk - Self Guided Walk & Photo Scavenger Hunt -
Our Explore Elk, Self Guided Perimeter Walk & Photo Scavenger Hunt is a perfect opportunity to get outside, get active, and see some majestic elk. All ages welcome.
Explore Elk, Self Guided Walk Includes:
-Access to our 1.7 km perimeter walking trail - field, forest & creek on one side, a herd of elk on the other
-An elk themed Photo Scavenger Hunt to work on while you walk. This activity is designed to inspire creativity, engage exploration, and teach you all about elk. Everyone is a winner, and the prize is the memories you'll take home.
-Plenty of antlers to see, touch and take pictures with, including our bull, Riker's, 2024 set - the largest grown in Ontario!
-Opportunity to see our bulls during their '25 antler growing process, with the bulls sporting their full grown sets through July & August.
-Fresh Air, Wide Open Spaces & an Escape from the hustle & bustle of daily life
Spots are limited and must be purchased in advance. Kids 2 & under are free. No Walk-Ins. No Pets.

IMPORTANT INFO - READ BEFORE BOOKING
Our 1.7km Perimeter Trail is not overly difficult to navigate, but does have areas of rough terrain and may be muddy. Wear weather appropriate clothing & footwear. Trail is not stroller/wagon friendly. Visitors must remain on the clearly marked trail at all times.
Elk views are guaranteed but we can't guarantee how close they will decide to come to the fence. Calm, quiet conversations and walking at a slow, steady pace will improve the experience for both you and the elk.
Yelling, calling, bugling at, or playing elk noises from a phone are considered harassment, and will stress the herd out. Visitors engaging in this behaviour will be asked to leave. Absolutely no pets allowed - the elk will not take kindly to them.
"Explore Elk" walk does not include a Herd Meet & Greet. This feature is available when booking a Private "Explore Elk Experience".
There will be no food available to purchase at the farm but you are welcome to bring your own snacks & drinks. We kindly ask that you take any garbage home with you, or dispose of it in the garbage bin provided near Welcome Table.
Arrival can take place anytime within your chosen time slot. You can expect your visit to take between 1 & 1.5 hours.
Due to our farm's strictly enforced biosecruty protocols, each group must check-in and check-out at our Welcome table. A signed waiver/release will be required for each visitor.
Don't forget your camera & bring some binoculars in case the elk are playing shy.
We will email you a few days before you come with important information & reminders.

REFUND POLICY
No Refunds. Trail is open rain or shine. Unused Reservations can be redeemed for a future "Explore Elk" visit, pending availability. Rescheduled visit date/time is at Narrows Edge Elk's discretion & must be pre-arranged in writing. narrowsedgeelk@gmail.com
